The Nextmune PAX Serum Test
Nextmune Laboratories UK now offers state-of-the-art canine allergy testing with the introduction of our revolutionary PAX serum test. This innovative PAX test represents a breakthrough in canine allergy diagnostics, allowing for more precise and reliable results.

PAX Complete Environmental & Food
PAX Canine Allergy Testing: Comprehensive Panels for Precise Diagnostics
Environmental Panel
The PAX environmental test is a breakthrough in canine allergy diagnostics. By detecting allergen-specific IgE antibodies in the serum, this test precisely identifies environmental allergens. This information is vital for allergen avoidance strategies and making informed decisions about allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT).
Serological testing, like the PAX serum test, empowers you to offer comprehensive management options, including ASIT, for canine allergy cases. Accurate identification of relevant allergens is key to implementing effective, long-term solutions for this lifelong condition.
The PAX environmental panel covers allergens from diverse groups, including:
Malassezia IgE Inclusion: Our canine environmental panels now also incorporate Malassezia IgE, enhancing diagnostic precision.
Diagnosing food allergies requires a methodical approach. The PAX food test assists by measuring allergen-specific IgG and IgE antibodies against various food allergens. It aids in selecting novel foods or commercial diets for elimination diet trials, ensuring a more precise diagnosis.
The PAX food test offers insights into mammalian, avian, and fish proteins, carbohydrates, and vegetables. The results are presented in a clear visual format, enhancing owner understanding and promoting strict compliance.
In our ‘Resources’ section on Nextview, you’ll find comprehensive resources to support you and your clients during diet trials. These materials facilitate a smooth process and foster successful outcomes for your patients.

PAX Screens
The Nextmune PAX Serum Test offers allergy screening for both food and environmental panels. Results are provided as either positive or negative. Should you require more detailed insights, these screens can be expanded upon request.
PAX screens provide a cost-effective solution when allergic disease is suspected in the dog. Utilising the same ELISA-based technology as our other allergy tests, these screens will provide a clear outcome for each mixed allergen panel, indicating either a single positive or negative result. If further investigation is desired, any allergen panel showing a positive result can be expanded to obtain individual allergen-specific results.
This allergy screening serves as an economical approach to identify potential allergens. After expanding panels with positive results, you’ll gain a more comprehensive understanding of the dog’s allergies. This expanded insight is an excellent precursor to allergen-specific immunotherapy and targeted allergen avoidance strategies.
We’re dedicated to providing practical and effective solutions for managing canine allergies. If you have any questions or require additional information, please feel free to reach out to us.

Nextlab Complete Environmental & Food
This test includes the food panel, the environmental panel (indoor & outdoor) and Malassezia IgE.
By measuring allergen-specific IgE antibodies present in the serum, the Nextlab™ environmental test can help to identify environmental allergens for both allergen avoidance purposes and to select for inclusion in allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT).
Serological testing enables you to provide additional management and therapeutic options (such as ASIT) for allergy cases. Only by identifying relevant allergens are you able to offer all long-term solutions as part of an effective management programme for this life-long condition.
The Nextlab™ environmental test contains allergens from the following groups:
Malassezia IgE is also included in all of our canine environmental panels.
The only way to diagnose a food allergy is by conducting a food trial. Using the Nextlab™ food test can help identify which foods are the most appropriate to use for the food trial.
The Nextlab™ food test measures allergen-specific IgG and IgE antibodies against food allergens and is designed to assist in the selection of novel foods, or commercial diets, for an elimination diet trial. The results of the test are printed in a clear visual format to help with owner understanding and engagement; in turn helping to promote stricter compliance.
The Nextlab™ food test contains allergens from the following groups:

Nextlab™ screens provide a cost-effective solution if you suspect allergic disease. Using the same ELISA based technology as our other allergy tests, the results will show you either a single positive or a negative result to each mixed allergen panel. You can then investigate further if desired, by expanding any positive allergen panel to gain individual allergen results.
This provides an economic method for allergen investigation identification and, following expansion of any panels with positive results, is an excellent precursor to allergen-specific immunotherapy and targeted allergen avoidance.
