BENEFITS OF OUR FELINE ALLERGY TESTING WITH PAX

  • Unmatched Precision: The PAX serum test employs advanced molecular allergology, enabling the detection of specific IgE antibodies against a wide range of allergens. This ground-breaking technology provides more accurate and sensitive results.
  • Individualized Allergen Profiles: With over 200 allergen extracts and molecular components, the PAX test offers an extensive and comprehensive allergen profile for each cat, ensuring precise identification.
  • Enhanced Cross-Reactivity Identification: By utilising allergen extracts and molecular components, the PAX test excels in identifying allergenic cross-reactivity, leading to more effective treatment strategies.
  • Optimised Sensitisation Diagnosis: The PAX test aids in the identification of primary offenders when multiple allergens cause a reaction, ensuring a more targeted approach to treatment.
  • Region and Species Specific: Results provided to veterinarians are tailored to the region and the cat’s species, enhancing the relevance and accuracy of the diagnostic information.
  • Improved Reproducibility: A state-of-the-art robot builds each ELISA testing array, ensuring the ability to produce an effective hypo sensitisation therapy for cat’s, providing much-needed relief.
  • Automated Technology: The PAX test utilises cutting-edge robotic technology to reduce human error and ensure consistent and reliable results.
  • Expanded Data: The PAX cartridge accommodates 300 positions, allowing for a comprehensive range of results. This wealth of data enhances the diagnostic process.
  • Ongoing Development: As data is gathered through testing, new allergenic components may be discovered, ensuring that the PAX test remains at the forefront of pet allergy research.
  • CCD Blocking: The PAX technology uses CCD blocking to prevent false positives caused by cross-reactive carbohydrate determinants (CCD). This ensures the accuracy of results and minimizes irrelevant allergen identifications.

WHAT FELINE ALLERGY TESTS DOES NEXTMUNE LABORATORIES UK OFFER?

PAX Complete Environmental & Food

PAX Feline Allergy Testing: Comprehensive Panels for Precise Diagnostics
Environmental Panel
The PAX environmental test is a breakthrough in feline allergy diagnostics. By detecting allergen-specific IgE antibodies in the serum, this test precisely identifies environmental allergens. This information is vital for allergen avoidance strategies and making informed decisions about allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT).

Why Opt for Serological Allergy Testing with PAX?

Serological testing, like the PAX serum test, empowers you to offer comprehensive management options, including ASIT, for feine allergy cases. Accurate identification of relevant allergens is key to implementing effective, long-term solutions for this lifelong condition.

The PAX environmental panel covers allergens from diverse groups, including:

  • Grasses
  • Weeds
  • Trees and shrubs
  • Mites and fleas
  • Dander
  • Moulds

Malassezia IgE Inclusion: Our feline environmental panels now also incorporate Malassezia IgE, enhancing diagnostic precision.

Food Panel

Diagnosing food allergies requires a methodical approach. The PAX food test assists by measuring allergen-specific IgG and IgE antibodies against various food allergens. It aids in selecting novel foods or commercial diets for elimination diet trials, ensuring a more precise diagnosis.

Why Choose the Feline Food Test with PAX?

The PAX food test offers insights into mammalian, avian, and fish proteins, carbohydrates, and vegetables. The results are presented in a clear visual format, enhancing owner understanding and promoting strict compliance.

Additional Support for Diet Trials

In our ‘Resources’ section on Nextview, you’ll find comprehensive resources to support you and your clients during diet trials. These materials facilitate a smooth process and foster successful outcomes for your patients.

PAX Screens

Allergy Screening with PAX Serum Test

The Nextmune PAX Serum Test offers allergy screening for both food and environmental panels. Results are provided as either positive or negative. Should you require more detailed insights, these screens can be expanded upon request.

Why Choose Allergy Screening?

PAX screens provide a cost-effective solution when allergic disease is suspected in the cat. Utilising the same ELISA-based technology as our other allergy tests, these screens will provide a clear outcome for each mixed allergen panel, indicating either a single positive or negative result. If further investigation is desired, any allergen panel showing a positive result can be expanded to obtain individual allergen-specific results.

Economic Allergen Investigation

This allergy screening serves as an economical approach to identify potential allergens. After expanding panels with positive results, you’ll gain a more comprehensive understanding of the cat’s allergies. This expanded insight is an excellent precursor to allergen-specific immunotherapy and targeted allergen avoidance strategies.
We’re dedicated to providing practical and effective solutions for managing feline allergies. If you have any questions or require additional information, please feel free to reach out to us.

WHAT FELINE ALLERGY TESTS DOES Nextmune Laboratories UK OFFER?

Nextlab Complete Environmental & Food

This test includes the environmental panel (indoor & outdoor) and the food panel.

Environmental Test

By measuring allergen-specific IgE antibodies present in the serum, the Nextlab™ environmental test can help to identify environmental allergens for both allergen avoidance purposes and to select for inclusion in allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT).

Why use serological allergy testing?

Serological testing enables you to provide additional management and therapeutic options (such as ASIT) for allergy cases. Only by identifying relevant allergens are you able to offer all long-term solutions as part of an effective management programme for this life-long condition.

The Nextlab™ environmental test contains allergens from the following groups:

  • Grasses
  • Weeds
  • Trees and shrubs
  • Mites and fleas
  • Dander
  • Moulds

Food Test

The only way to diagnose a food allergy is by conducting a food trial. Using the Nextlab™ food test can help identify which foods are the most appropriate to use for the food trial.

How does the feline food test help?

The Nextlab food test measures allergen-specific IgG and IgE antibodies against food allergens and is designed to assist in the selection of novel foods, or commercial diets, for an elimination diet trial. The results of the test are printed in a clear visual format to help with owner understanding and engagement; in turn helping to promote stricter compliance.

The Nextlab food test contains allergens from the following groups:

  • Mammalian, avian, and fish proteins
  • Carbohydrates
  • Vegetables

Additional resources to support you and your clients when conducting a diet trial can be found in the ‘Resources’ section of the Practice Portal.

Allergy Screening

Nextlab™ screens provide a cost-effective solution if you suspect allergic disease. Using the same ELISA based technology as our other allergy tests, the results will show you either a single positive or a negative result to each mixed allergen panel. You can then investigate further if desired, by expanding any positive allergen panel to gain individual allergen results.

This provides an economic method for allergen investigation identification and, following expansion of any panels with positive results, is an excellent precursor to allergen-specific immunotherapy and targeted allergen avoidance.
